The change that alters the bike most
Tyre choice affects grip, feel, wear rate and warm-up time more than anything else you can change at this budget. And on a sport bike, warm-up behaviour matters as much as ultimate grip — most riders spend most of their time on cold or cool tyres.

State the size from your own tyre or your manual. Sizes differ between models and years, and a wrong figure here could send someone to the fitter with the wrong tyres. If you are not certain, say so.
Worth mentioning
- Warm-up time. Track-focused compounds can be genuinely unhelpful on a cold road commute.
- Cold and wet performance, which is where most road riders actually find the limit.
- Wear pattern. Squaring off in the centre from motorway use is normal and worth reporting.
