A cruiser in the 625 class
The CU625 has been signalled as an imminent addition to the range, alongside a new sport machine. If it arrives as expected, it puts Voge into a bracket where the established names have been unchallenged for a long time.
Details are limited at this stage, so this thread is partly speculation and partly a wishlist — and the wishlist half may be the more useful one.
What would make it worth buying
Cruiser buyers are among the most specific in motorcycling about what they want. From owners of the current CU range and from cruiser riders generally:
- A seat that works for more than an hour from standard, rather than requiring immediate replacement
- Luggage that mounts properly without looking like an afterthought
- Finish that survives winter, because cruisers show every mark
- Sensible pillion provision — grab rail, peg position, seat area
- Manageable low-speed weight distribution
- Accessible controls for shorter riders
The open questions
- Which markets get it first, and when
- Whether an A2 version will be offered
- Whether the 581cc twin suits cruiser character, or whether the delivery will be reworked
- How it will be priced against the established alternatives
