How to make a Voge warranty claim: what to do and what to document

Preparation decides the outcome

Most warranty disputes are not lost on the merits. They are lost because the owner cannot demonstrate what happened, when, or that the bike was maintained. Here is how to keep yourself in a strong position.

Before anything goes wrong

  • Keep every service record. Stamps, invoices, and what was actually done. Photograph them — paper books get lost and dealers close.
  • Photograph the odometer at each service. Thirty seconds now, decisive later.
  • Keep receipts for anything you did yourself, including oil and filters. If you self-service, proof of correct parts and intervals is what protects you.
  • Note your VIN somewhere safe. You will need it for every conversation.

When a fault appears

1. Document it immediately. Photos, video of the noise, a photo of any dashboard warning. A fault that is intermittent when the dealer looks at it is a fault that does not get fixed.

2. Write down the conditions. Cold or warm, what speed, what gear, how often, since when. Vague reports get vague responses.

3. Report it in writing. Email, not a phone call — or phone first and follow up by email summarising what was said. A dated written record is worth more than the clearest memory.

4. Ask for the diagnosis in writing. Including what was measured and what the conclusion was. If a claim is refused, you need to know the stated reason.

5. Do not authorise paid work before the warranty question is settled, unless you have accepted you will pay.

If the claim is refused

  • Ask for the refusal and its reason in writing
  • Ask whether the decision was the dealer's or the importer's — these are different parties and the answer matters
  • Escalate to the national importer if the dealer decided alone
  • Check your statutory consumer rights, which are separate from the warranty

Refused claims are as valuable here as successful ones. Knowing where the line falls in practice helps everyone.
