DS900X accessories — what to fit first, and what to skip
The DS900X comes well equipped from the factory, which changes the accessory conversation. You're not buying heated grips or cruise control — you already have them. So where does the money actually go?
TIER 1 — FIT THESE FIRST
Crash bars / engine protection
The single best first purchase. This bike is around 220 kg and top-heavy. It will go over at some point, in a car park if nowhere else. Heavy-duty bars protect the engine cases and fairings, and the cost of a set is a fraction of the cost of one drop without them.
Handguards
Wind protection, weather protection, lever protection in a tip-over. Cheap, universally useful.
Radiator guard
A stone through a radiator core ends the ride and costs real money. Small spend, disproportionate protection.
Sump / bash plate
If any part of your riding involves gravel, this is not optional.
TIER 2 — COMFORT AND TOURING
Taller or adjustable screen
Screen preference is intensely personal and depends on your height. Read the screen thread before buying — this is the accessory most often bought twice.
Luggage
Some markets have sold the bike with a three-box set included. Check what your dealer offers before buying aftermarket.
Seat solution
See the dedicated seat thread. Highest return on investment of any comfort mod on this bike.
Centre stand
Chain maintenance without a paddock stand, and far easier roadside wheel work.
TIER 3 — NICE TO HAVE
BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING
Post your fitted accessories below with brand, price paid and whether fitment was straightforward. Include your country — availability and pricing vary hugely between markets.

TIER 3 — NICE TO HAVE
- Headlight guard — cheap protection against flying stones
- Bar risers — if the reach forward doesn't suit you standing up
- Auxiliary lights
- Tail rack for a dry bag
- Phone mount with a hardwired charger
BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING
- Check it's listed for the DS900X specifically, not "Voge 900 series." Fitment varies
- Confirm your model year — mounting points can change between years
- For anything that carries load or protects you in a crash, quality of mounting hardware matters more than the price of the part
