Useful context for making sense of the naming
A lot of the naming confusion makes more sense once you know how quickly this range grew. Voge went from nothing to a full lineup in roughly seven years, and the naming conventions evolved along the way.
The timeline
September 2018 — the brand launches. Voge is announced at the Chongqing International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition by Loncin, with an explicit goal: move beyond budget Chinese positioning and compete in the premium, sporty and technologically advanced segment.
2019 — European debut at EICMA. Voge presents its first lineup in Milan, marking its official entry into the European market. Three models: the 300R naked, the 500DS adventure tourer, and the 300RR sport bike.
Those three names are worth noting, because the pattern was already there — R for naked, DS for dual sport, RR for sport. Everything since has followed it.
2019 onwards — rapid expansion. The range grows from three models to the current lineup spanning 125cc to 900cc across five families, with distribution reaching more than 60 countries.
2025 — scale. Voge delivers close to 100,000 units globally, with China accounting for less than 20% of volume and Europe representing more than half of sales. Italy and Spain enter the top-selling brands after more than doubling sales.
2026 — localisation. A CKD assembly facility is under construction in Manaus, Brazil, expected to begin operations in the first half of the year — a move to serve Latin America regionally, where sales rose 85.8% in the previous year.
What this history explains
Why parts availability varies so much by country. A network built this quickly is uneven by definition. Some markets have had dealers for years; others took the franchise recently.
Why there is so little high-mileage data. The oldest European Voge is a 2019 machine. That is simply not long enough for the kind of durability record buyers want.
Why the naming grew complicated. Three models needed no system. Thirty models across five families in sixty countries, with local importers presenting them differently, produced what we have now.
Why the engineering is not amateur. Loncin builds parts and complete motorcycles for Honda, MV Agusta and BMW Motorrad, and select Voge models share architecture with BMW's 850–900cc twin platform. The brand is new; the factory is not.
Fill in the gaps
If you own an early European Voge — a 2019 or 2020 machine — you have something almost nobody else has: long-term evidence. Post your model, mileage, and what has and has not held up. Those posts are the most valuable content this forum can hold.
